2dn Entry: Best Holidays

The best holiday I've ever had would be 2011's Chrismas. It was the best because of many reasons.
First, it was the year that I finished high school, and I've already had given the PSU. So all the tension of all those years at school have passed and I just needed to wait for the results.
Holidays that year were a break for me, so I tried to have the best time in all of them.
So why just Chrismas?
Because Chrismas is my favorite holiday of all year. I love everything about it: the decoration of the tree and the house, the preparation of the evening (food inclued lol), being with my family and distribute the presents (specially when my nephews  are with us, and that year they actually were with us at Chrismas).
My family and I used to pass the last year Holidays at our house in the country. At Melipilla (I have written about it in my 'fiestas patrias' entry). And that means a lot of work because it's a big house. There is a lot of preparation inside and outside the house. So my cousins and I had too many things to do that year. And of course, my nephews helped us to keep them entretained.
While we were on that, my mom, grandmother abd aunt Ester were preparong the food (turkey with curry-rice, wich is delicious by the way).
The day went like that, relatives started to arrive and to help with everything too.
Then dinner came. And with that jokes and anecdotes. I'm not gonna lie: my cousin Milenka and I were the protagonist of lots of them.
Because my nephews were very little back then we decided to open the presents earlier at night.
So while with some cousins we took our nephews out saying that he sas Santa, the adults left the presents under the tree. (This is something we do every year, so we act very naturally about 'looking for Santa'). Then we got back into the house. And, seriously, my nephews faces when they suddenly see the presents is the best part of the night, they're so funny and cute.
So it's kind of a tradition that the youngest, if it knows how to read, must distribute the presents. So, as none of my nephews did know, I had to read the names in the presents, it is really fun actually, we joke about who got more presents.
After the opening the presents my nephews went to bed, and my cousins and I saw a Chrismas movie (can't remember which one right now) while the adults drinked some wine.
So the night went like that, very calm but funny. And I really remenber it fondly.
Thanks for reading!

1st entry: "A Place I'd Like to Visit, England"

There are many places in the world I'd love to go. Places like France, Spain, Canada even, but I would definitely start with England.

England is a very grey and cold country which is something I really like. I like rain, and storms and cold, cozy days. So I guess it would be great to live in a place that rains 90% of the time.
Kind of a big plus you know.
Things I love about this place (besides the weather of course) are the attractions I could visit. I would love to go see the museums, like the Tate Modern, Tate Britain and the museum of Madame Tussauds. Okay maybe I would probably visit all the museums if I could.

Some other place I'm dying to know is the museum of Sherlock Holmes, I love the books so it would be kind of a fantasy made real (the whole trip would be if I'm honest, but you know what I'm talking about), imagine being at 221B Baker Street. Just think about it. It would be like having Sherlock out of the books. Solving mysteries and everything! (ok maybe not).
If we're being unrealistic about the money (let's say I have a lot 'cause dreaming is free) I would like to go to fancy tea shops and buy lots and lots of tea. Because I know I'm coming back to my country so why not take advantage of that?
I don't know what else... books? probably because there will be on english and they would be on their original language and I really like to read books on their original language... (?)
Now if I could live there or study for a period of time. Oh man. What a dream.
Yes I would totally study there, or work in there too. At anything. Really.
Just give me a McDonalds job and I'll be happy about it.
Okay I'd love to study something about arts or design, even architecture if they give me the chance. I'd love to make sculptures on a rainy day with a cup of tea next to me. Or working on a library or little jobs that pay as hell as long that they give me enough money to travel around.
Yeah, it's kind of the place for me to visit.

National Holidays

18th of september has passed, and with that fiestas patrias. That means that we won't have more choripanes and anticuchos to eat, nor terremotos to drink.
However, we have the memories of our national holiday to enjoy.
On September 18th I was at my farm in Melipilla (which by the way means 'four devils'), with my mother and her brother. we got up early to prepare the party: while my mom prepared the meat for the fire, my uncle and I served some chips and crackers with  'pebre', and some alcoholics drinks like 'pisco sour' and 'piscola'.
Then my relatives started to arrive.
Uncle Pato with his girlfriend brought wine and a pie. Aunt Leticia helped with the salads. And my cousin Carolina came with her boyfriend from Isla de Pascua (also know as Rapa Nui), and he brought sawfish and real tuna from there, then prepared them as they do on his island. Didn't like tuna that much but sierra was exquisite.
The afternoon went quite calm. We chatted and joked, took photos (and selfies too of course).
Then, at the evening everyone started to go back to Santiago, and we ended us three (my mom, uncle and I) alone at the house.
We got back to the city on suday morning.
On the afternoon that day I got to see my dad. We talked a lot while we where on the car, deciding what to do. It was late so we couldn't go to a fonda to pass the time, so we went to the cinema. We watched 'The Maze Runner 2', and I really enjoyed it, not just because of the movie, but because my dad got really scared and jumped everytime there was a scary part.
I really enjoyed my fiestas patrias with my family.
Thank you for reading!
